Family violence cases eventually come before the courts. However, court decisions can be complex and, despite the best intentions, they may not prevent reoccurrences of family violence. This program discusses the dilemmas faced by the judicial system, and looks at an innovative program that has significantly reduced the rate of abusers who re-offend. Featured speakers: Dr. Peter Jaffe - University of Western Ontario; Judge Eugene M. Hymen - Superior Court of California; Other speakers include: Alfred Mamo - Mamo and Associates; Dr. Nicholas Bala - Faculty of Law, Queen's University; Special video presentation about HomeFront in Calgary Alberta.
