Our Federal Government

This series takes a look at our federal government and explains why the Founding Fathers divided the government's powers into three distinct branches: executive, judicial, and legislative. Students learn that when it comes to the American government, checks and balances are the keys to success. They will understand why this 'separation of powers' is unique as they explore each of the three branches in detail. The road to the White House is also explored as students learn what it takes to be the next American President.
