Fieldwork is a critical part of geography, and involves a range of techniques. In this program, two young commandos are on a fieldwork mission to research and report on the human impact in two geographical regions - one urban and one within a National Park. Along the way they learn about preparation, collecting primary and secondary data, equipment, note taking, photographic recording, surveying and interviewing, and presenting findings. They also talk to park rangers who work in both areas and ultimately come to understand the importance of accurate, well prepared fieldwork.
