Creating a new purpose built enclosure for the elephants of Melbourne Zoo, that gave visitors to the exhibit a cultural experience of the animals native homeland, and also met the unique housing needs of the elephants; was a collaborative exercise between specialist environmental designers and zoo staff. The program examines how the project progressed, the personnel involved, and responses to the completed design solution.
